An Update

Annelise Rowe, Bye Bye Beehive

You know, I haven't been as active on Bye Bye Beehive as I thought I would have been since my challenge finished a little over a year ago. The BBB 365-day project taught me that coming up with fun hairstyles is still fun, but that rocking simple & easy hair is also, well, easy... and I tend to stick with simple styles more often now.

Despite my lack of updates and posts on Bye Bye Beehive, I'm still around a few times a week over at Aunie Sauce, my personal blog that covers everything from big life events (I just joined the Air National Guard!) to little details and memorable moments. I would love to see you there.

  1. I wouldn't call it "dirty hair." I have over waist-length hair, and I need to wait 3 days before I give it a full wash, to help protect it from over-washing. Sebum isn't greasy or dirty, so long as you don't use hairspray. It's all the texture you need.

Personally I couldn't do this since my long hair is too heavy for it. I usually need to do the "knotted pony" with hairstiks, or split my hair in half to have it up in the illusion of a ponytail.

  6. Hi Priya, I don't have a specific tutorial. I tease each side a bit, but especially the top of the crown. That's what helps even it out :)

  8. Thanks for sharing great tips to enjoy wedding hair style. Mostly beauty parlors are using hair styler for better hair. They make perfect use of hair styler as per the hair type.

  9. This is how I do mine as well and i love it! Works even better with 2nd day hair, especially since you weren't using hairspray or backcombing

  11. There's one hair dryer that is highly recommended, it works amazingly on curly hair and it's very gentle. It's called "Karmin G3 salon pro professional hair dryer". It has ceramic heat, adjustable settings, cool shot button, dual voltage...the works. Best one I've used :) My hair is extra frizzy and curly so believe me, this one is the best for curly hair.
